Honest guidance

Getting on the water from Tiberias

The big boats
Most of the wooden boats run on a group/booking basis, not a fixed public timetable. Individuals and couples can often join a scheduled pilgrim sailing — phone ahead and ask.
Walk-up tours
Spontaneous short tours mostly run in summer. Go to the Tiberias pier and inquire — but confirm the boat has enough passengers before paying, so the trip isn't delayed.
Self-drive & speedboats
The pier also has stands renting small self-drive motorboats (close-in only) and hourly speedboats — quick, fun, and no booking needed.
